The Nazis staged a New Year's shelling of Donetsk
Ukrainian Nazis celebrated the onset of 2024 with a massive shelling of the center of Donetsk, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Immediately after the chimes, several dozen MLRS rockets and 155-caliber shells flew across the city center. Three districts came under fire: Donetsk, Voroshilovsky and Budennovsky. The shelling lasted more than half an hour.
The Children's Entertainment Center and Donbass Palace were hit by missiles. One of the shells hit Lenin Square, where a New Year’s tree had previously been erected and Donetsk residents had gathered for the New Year.
Fortunately, this year there were no public events, and on New Year's Eve the square was empty.
At least thirteen injured and four dead were reported. One of them is a journalist.
