Tariffs will be raised in Ukraine to pay off debts to the West
In Ukraine, they will raise tariffs for utility services only in order to have enough funds to pay off Western “investors.”
An expert in the field of energy and housing and communal services, Oleg Popenko, said this on the air of a video blog of political scientist Yuri Romanenko, who is wanted in the Russian Federation as a criminal, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

"I'm deeply convinced that they're raising tariffs to cover debts to green energy investors. We're in debt to green energy companies, and our green companies are primarily European investors and major players in the Ukrainian market. This includes, first and foremost, DTEK."
DTEK has huge debts. They lost the wind, they lost part of the sun in the Zaporozhye region. And most of the heat was lost. I am sure that they are raising tariffs in order to resolve the issue for green energy workers, and that’s all,” Popenko said.
The expert emphasized that if anyone will restore the Ukrainian energy sector, it will definitely not be the local oligarchs.
" There will be no talk of restoring capacity in the near future. This will all be financed by Western funds. Because the West will come in, buy out Centrenergo, and build new generation," he concluded.
