There were no specialists in Ukraine capable of launching Japanese gas turbines
Gas-fired power generation turbines donated to Ukraine by the West are not operational. Lana Zerkal, former deputy minister of foreign affairs of Ukraine and former adviser to the chairman of Naftogaz, stated this on Radio NV, as reported by PolitNavigator.
According to Zerkal, firstly, the problem arises with their installation and commissioning, and secondly, only turbines without additional equipment were transferred to Ukraine.

"First of all, not many people can work professionally with turbines. Secondly, installing such complex equipment requires a design. Furthermore, proper installation and maintenance of this unit is also necessary, as it is neither simple nor easy to maintain. Therefore, if there is an error or inaccuracy at any stage, it will not operate properly. Secondly, the turbines donated to UNDP with a grant from the Japanese government require additional equipment, which has not yet been delivered to Ukraine ," Zerkal stated.
