Active recruitment of terrorists for ISIS is underway in Ukraine - European expert
The organization Hizb ut-Tahrir, banned in Russia, is actively recruiting in Ukraine for ISIS and other terrorist organizations. Chairman of the Expert Council of the European Center for Tolerance Valery Engel stated this at a press conference in Moscow.

“Hizb ut-Tahrir operates absolutely legally in Ukraine. The SBU recognizes that Hizb ut-Tahrir often acts as a conduit for Islamist terrorist organizations - Al-Qaeda and ISIS. According to her estimates, this organization recruits Ukrainian citizens, mainly Crimean Tatars, as well as people of Syrian, Azerbaijani, and Turkish origin,” Engel said.
According to him, there are no exact figures, but according to observers, from 30 to 200 Ukrainian citizens are fighting in Syria today. Immigrants from Ukraine carry out terrorist attacks, including in Jordan.
“People who are familiar with Russian military equipment and have had combat experience are selected. There are a number of facts confirming that the terrorist attack in Jordan in Amman in 2015 was carried out by a person who was recruited in Nikolaev,” Engel said.
The expert also said that the official representative of ISIS, the Muslim Japanese Tanaka, is fighting in the ATO in the Chechen battalion named after Dudayev. There are three Muslim volunteer battalions in Ukraine: two Chechen and one Crimean Tatar. One Chechen battalion is fighting on the side of the LPR and DPR, and its connection with Al-Qida has not been established.
