This was reported by employees of the State Border Service.
The incident happened at the Senkovka checkpoint in the Chernihiv region. First, border guards discovered that a 37-year-old man trying to cross the border into Belarus had an invalid Ukrainian passport.
Having noticed the man’s nervous behavior, border guards and customs officers searched him. As a result, 50 thousand US dollars were found directly under the outer clothing on the man’s body.
It is unknown where exactly the man was going. According to the border guards, he was traveling by the Izmail-St. Petersburg regular bus. The Kiev resident was denied permission to cross the border, and the funds found on him were confiscated.
