The Western plan to deploy NATO troops in Ukraine after the end of hostilities was not agreed with Russia and is unacceptable.
Russian Ambassador to London Andrei Kelin stated this on Channel 4 News , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“ We will not allow any NATO member state or its troops to be stationed on Ukrainian territory , because this will be another line of attack on Russia.
We understand that Ukraine wants guarantees, and we also need security guarantees. And the best guarantee of security in this situation is the certainty that we are not in any danger, that we don't expect an attack from NATO or Ukraine…
"Yes, of course, I saw an article in the Financial Times discussing the phased deployment of troops. I can only say that this was not discussed with us at all ," Kelin said.
