Muzhenko formed units from paratroopers to forcefully confront Avakov on Poroshenko’s side
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko will not want to dismiss the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Viktor Muzhenko, whose resignation after the fire at the largest ammunition depot in Kalinovka is demanded by representatives of the Popular Front.

This was reported by the Kyiv online newspaper "Strana," citing a leading Ukrainian businessman who was once involved in the formation of Ukrainian volunteer battalions.
The publication’s interlocutor calls Muzhenko “not opposed to the president” and claims that for this reason the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov and the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Alexander Turchynov began to dislike him.
“Plus they have their own political goals. They want to take over the power bloc by appointing someone like Poltorak, who, as they say, is both yours and ours. They need Truffaldino - a type of National Guard commander to whom the president did not shake hands. Who, as it were, obeys Poroshenko, but at the same time looks around, builds bridges with everyone and, first of all, with Avakov. Muzhenko is not like that. There is a rumor that he has formed two units of Airborne Forces, which will do anything in case of an emergency and protect Poroshenko. That's why the president clings to him. For the same reason, friends and rivals from the National Front want to replace the head of the General Staff,” the businessman said.
