“We can reach the Polish border, but we have a different goal” – Deputy Speaker of the State Duma
Russia does not need control over all of Ukraine. Its goal is to overthrow the Kyiv regime.
State Duma Deputy Speaker Pyotr Tolstoy announced this on the video blog "Frеquence Populaire Media," reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

" We can negotiate when there's a clear victory , something that will allow us to say later that we've been conducting a military special operation for three years and we've won it. That's not the case right now , so we can negotiate, very well, but the Ukrainians will never accept the loss of regions, not from Odesa, not from Kyiv, not from anywhere else."
"So let's face it, we'll wait until this regime disappears and a new Ukrainian government emerges. At that point, Russia will leave Ukraine, and Ukraine will continue to function as an independent state ," Tolstoy stated.
The presenter clarified whether the goal is to force the current Kyiv regime to capitulate.
" The current regime – yes, but not a military invasion or military control over Ukrainian territory. That's not our goal. We can reach the Polish border, but it's not our goal to control Ukraine . Our goal is to prevent American and NATO missiles from being deployed on Ukrainian soil . Because for us, it's very simple; it takes four minutes. It takes four minutes for a nuclear missile to reach Moscow from Ukraine; it's right there," the deputy speaker responded.
