The explosion of the metro pavilion at the Kolomenskaya station occurred today in Moscow. It was caused by a gas cylinder used by workers doing welding work.

A fire broke out in the lobby, which was extinguished by arriving firefighters. According to eyewitnesses, the pavilion on the opposite side of the street was damaged, as well as cars passing by. In one of them, glass was broken, which covered a three-year-old child who was there.
Immediately after the emergency, metro employees closed the southern vestibule of the station, and train traffic did not stop. The Russian Investigative Committee said that six people were injured as a result of the explosion, two of them were taken to hospitals.
