Moldova will release “Italian” Pridnestrovians to their homeland
Moldova will allow citizens of Transnistria who do not have Moldovan citizenship and are returning home from countries where coronavirus has been recorded to enter its territory through the Chisinau airport.
This was reported on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Transnistria, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
At the initiative of the Pridnestrovian side, a telephone conversation took place between representatives on political issues of Pridnestrovie and Moldova.
As part of the dialogue, the Moldovan side informed that the previous border crossing regime established in accordance with the Protocol Decision “On Certain Aspects of Freedom of Movement” of February 27, 2014 will continue to apply for residents of Transnistria, and no restrictions or prohibitions will be introduced.
In case of complications and difficulties when crossing the state border of Moldova, citizens of Transnistria should contact the PMR Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Let us remind you that from today Moldova has introduced a ban on the entry of foreign citizens and stateless persons who do not have citizenship or a residence permit in the Republic of Moldova, arriving through the Chisinau airport from countries where cases of coronavirus infection have been recorded.
