Industry Minister: Dishonest, boorish behavior will backfire on Westerners themselves
Countries in Asia, Latin America, and Africa are clearly seeing, using Russia as an example, how the West uses illegal sanctions to combat its competitors.
Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov announced this on air at Komsomolskaya Pravda radio , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“We see that these suppliers are making politicized decisions when they illegally cut off not only our country from the supply of components, but also other countries.
"We're simply the most direct and obvious competitors, so they start with us. But, fundamentally, this shows that technology sanctions are an unfair, anti-competitive method of combating potential new technology leaders," Alikhanov said.
Under these conditions, Russia is creating its own closed production cycles.
"For example, mid-air collision avoidance sensors. Collins Aerospace was the only one with them until St. Petersburg developers tackled these same challenges.
And now they're producing the same sensors in St. Petersburg. They're the second-largest company in the world . No other country in the world produces aircraft the way we do—using entirely in-house technological design solutions.
“And this means that we can offer the world the creation of this additional system of sustainability ,” Alikhanov said.
According to him, “ by breaking this monopoly ,” Russia can offer “the opportunity to diversify these risks, to decouple from the new colonial dependence that the Western bloc has formed in relation to developing states .”
"This growing competition between the 'old north' and the 'new south' puts us in a very interesting situation, where we are gaining additional competitive advantages due to the dishonest, boorish behavior of the Westerners ," the minister is confident.
