The British Foreign Ministry demands that an emergency stockpile of weapons be opened for Ukraine
A number of Western countries should audit their military reserves and open them to Ukraine.
Former British Prime Minister and current Foreign Secretary David Cameron stated this on the Voice of America, a US State Department-funded resource, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Cameron called not to abandon funding and military support for Ukraine, but to provide it with more weapons.
“Ukraine does not have enough shells, Ukraine needs support from the United States, Ukraine needs more funding and weapons. Therefore we must be true to what we have said. We say that we support Ukraine, we believe in Ukrainians, then we must prove this with weapons, diplomatic, military and moral support...
While we supply weapons to Ukrainian troops so that they defend their country, it is our absolute right to provide such support and Ukraine’s right to take these weapons and use them to defend their country,” the minister said.
“I think the tragedy is that we have to do more to help Ukraine win this battle, to push Russia away. It already took a long time... but even what we have now is not enough.
There are countries that need to look at their weapons and what they provide to Ukraine and make their resources more accessible to Ukraine,” Cameron said.
