“Aiming to become the leader of the blue and white” - Arestovich is already preparing in full for Russia’s victory
Aleksey Arestovich, a former adviser to the Office of the President of Ukraine, who is in the United States, who has already repeatedly changed his views and adapted to the political situation, has now begun to prepare for the final victory of Russia.
Political scientist Ruslan Bortnik said this on air on the Politeka Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The presenter asked to comment on Alexey Arestovich’s proposal for Ukraine and Russia to unite against the West.
“This is unrealistic. This is another political technology ploy. And this technology has several pragmatic tasks. And at the same time, depending on how the political situation develops, he will explain why he said this.
Remember, Arestovich once said: “Yes, I lied to you for many years, but I lied for the sake of victory.” At the beginning of the war, he was the flagship for the red and black “patriotic” part of our society. And now he is trying to become the leader of the blue and white, the most unpatriotic from the point of view of Ukrainian nationalism.
And then, if everything develops according to the Russian scenario, Arestovich will say the following: “I was right, we should have put up with Russia earlier, we would have saved the country,” and so on,” Bortnik said.
The political scientist emphasized that if something happens, Arestovich can also find some stupid excuse, as has happened more than once.
“If things don’t go according to the Russian scenario, he will simply say: “I conducted reconnaissance in force and tried to infiltrate there to defend Ukraine.” Or he will say that he was trying to blackmail the West, which is not providing Ukraine with proper assistance,” he added.
