By reshuffling his cabinet, Macron is saving not France, but the extension of arms supplies to Ukraine - British expert
No reshuffle in the French government will reduce military supplies to Ukraine, because Paris is afraid of breaking the Western consensus.
British analyst Alexander Merkouris stated this in an interview with American journalist Alexander Christopher, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The resignation of French Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne means that Macron has lost confidence in her. This is a sign that economic affairs in France are not going well.
And what he is now trying to do is find some funds for his government. Because he feels that all this is slowly slipping away, that power is slipping away from him.
It is becoming increasingly difficult for him to govern France. His popularity there is declining and the situation continues to be bad,” Mercouris said.
He stressed that no changes in the leadership of France will stop the supply of weapons to Ukraine until the pan-European consensus changes.
“But he said that Ukraine needs more money. Macron is going to supply Ukraine with 85 Scalp missiles. So you could see that even Macron understands that things are not going well.
And he will not take any steps to stop [arms supplies] and break the EU consensus. He will insist on continuing this policy.
He's just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic when the ship hits an iceberg. This is the essence of these changes in politics,” the expert concluded.
