Lyashko brought depression to the already not particularly loyal population of Mariupol to Ukraine
The Ukrainian government is deceiving Ukrainians and selling them its own gas at the price of imported gas. These frauds with “blue fuel” led to an increase in prices for housing and communal services, since 80% of the bills are the cost of gas.
Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleg Lyashko spoke about this on the Mariupol TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

"The gas used for housing and communal services is predominantly our own, domestically produced, and costs 1500 hryvnias. Add in VAT and transportation costs, and that's 3000 hryvnias per thousand cubic meters. That's the price we should be paying for gas, but we're paying 7200 because the government passed a regulation linking the price of domestic gas to imported gas from Germany ( Lyashko is referring to so-called reverse purchases of Russian gas through intermediary companies in the EU ).
We actually pay for imported gas while consuming our own.
I believe that this is not fair, and the cancellation of this decision will make it possible to reduce the price of gas, because 80% of the cost of housing and communal services is gas. If it becomes cheaper, then tariffs will decrease accordingly,” said Lyashko.
