Lukashenko again seeks American praise for Donbass
Russia and Ukraine have delayed the resolution of the conflict in Donbass and now will not be able to achieve it without the help of the United States.
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko stated this in an interview with the Mir television and radio company, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“The most important thing is that the United States has already settled there. Without their consent it will be difficult to do anything. Including Ukrainians. Because the Americans supported the Ukrainians at this time and helped them in every possible way. Of course, in your own interests. What interest Americans have in Ukraine, a fool can understand.
I always tell Russians that we gave the Americans a gift. With our own hands we gave the underbelly of Belarus and Russia to the NATO bloc. Do you think the Americans will just abandon Ukraine and leave? They will help,” Lukashenko said.
Since last year, the Belarusian president has been calling for the US to be involved in resolving the conflict in Donbass. In February, after the visit of American Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to Minsk, Lukashenko boasted to reporters that his efforts had been noticed and approved in Washington.
