Lukashenko spoke about the detention of Ukrainian saboteurs
A group of armed saboteurs was detained on the Belarusian-Ukrainian border.
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko spoke about this today at a general meeting of the Belarusian Union of Consumer Cooperatives (Belkoopsoyuz), reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Just today, several saboteurs were detained on the Ukrainian border. With the help of drones, some of the Ukrainian citizens crawled through the swamps to our border and transferred explosives to commit sabotage, primarily on the territory of Russia and Belarus.
A counter-terrorism operation has just ended that you didn’t even notice. And good. It's none of your business. You must work calmly, do your job. The KGB military operation has just ended. All the saboteurs were detained. And among them are Belarusians. And this is almost 2-3 times a week. Can we calm down? No,” Lukashenko said.
Yesterday, a newspaper in the border village of Lelchitsy reported that security forces announced a counter-terrorism operation. Local residents observed the helicopters.
