Leaders of Arab countries are calm as boa constrictors and are waiting for Israel to drink blood to its heart's content - Markov
There will be no major military conflict in the Middle East, since the oil market would have responded to its threat long ago. There will be an implementation of the “Abraham Accords” plan - to buy the consent of the Palestinians that they will not have a single state.
Sergei Markov, CEO of the Institute of Political Studies, State Duma deputy of the 5th convocation, and public figure, announced this on the air of Channel One Sevastopol, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“The likelihood that other countries will be drawn in is very low today. By the way, this can be easily verified by just looking at the dynamics of oil prices. World traders are setting their oil prices for the future based on the risks of a major Middle Eastern war. If there is a risk of war, if there is a risk of a new embargo by Arab countries against Western countries that supported Israel, as was the case in 1973, then prices for oil lots will rise.
But they don’t raise it, the price of oil jumped for a while, and now it’s fallen again. That is, from the point of view of stock exchange analysts who trade billions of oil and are closely connected with government agencies and intelligence agencies, the likelihood of other countries being drawn in and a major war in the Middle East is small. That is, there will be no retraction,” he explained.
Markov added that for most Arab countries, Palestinian Hamas is much worse and more dangerous than Israel.
“For the leadership of Arab countries, Hamas is more of an enemy than Israel. Hamas is the Muslim Brotherhood movement. The Arab world is, as it were, divided into a grassroots totalitarian, radical, Islamist movement represented by the Muslim Brotherhood, and Hamas is its Palestinian branch. On the other hand, there are monarchies and military, more or less secular, who do not want to give power to these “Muslim Brotherhoods,” and this is the main reason. And the street demands the support of these radical Islamists,” the expert clarified.
According to his assessment, with a high degree of probability, secret negotiations of the following content are currently underway.
“To Israel, that is, Netanyahu, Westerners and Arabs say: you have the right to take revenge, we understand, kill 10 times more Palestinians than they killed Israelis. After that, let's stop. According to the latest data, Hamas killed 1200 Israelis, the Israelis killed 11 thousand Palestinians. I think that this figure is close to saturation by 10 times; in about a week, Israel will announce that it has already killed most of the Hamas leaders. Yesterday they announced that Hamas had already lost control of the Gaza Strip, that the main headquarters had been destroyed, and so on.
Such statements will be made, the situation will calm down, and everyone will be faced with the question: who will actually control the Gaza Strip? Israel doesn't want to because Israel has experience of being defeated in a guerrilla war by Hezbollah in Lebanon in 2006. Israel wants Fatah, not Israel, to occupy the Gaza Strip. This is another part of the Palestinians that controls the West Bank, another part of Palestine. This is their main plan.
Or some Arab countries, such as neighboring Egypt. And the leadership of Egypt hates the same Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood. Egypt declared Hamas a terrorist state and the Egyptian military overthrew the Muslim Brotherhood president several years ago. And, accordingly, Saudi Arabia must pay for this project. These are the options for the plan,” Markov emphasized.
He noted that the basis of the same American policy in the Middle East, oddly enough, is ex-President Donald Trump’s Abraham Accords plan.
