The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation today rejected the claim of provincial journalist Ekaterina Duntsova against the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation.
She wanted to become a presidential candidate, but she was rejected due to errors in her documents, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Duntsova had no hope that the court would grant her claim. Standing on the porch before the start of the meeting, she dreamed out loud how she would create a party of cat lovers (her supporters signed the silhouette of a cat in the documents), which would “broadcast values for peace.” She scheduled the founding congress for March.
Political scientist Sergei Markov is confident that Duntsova is the creature of the fugitive oligarch-foreign agent Mikhail Khodorkovsky.

Duntsova announced her intention to support the old liberal Boris Nadezhdin, who was nominated by the Civil Initiative party. On Tuesday, the Central Election Commission accepted documents from Nadezhdin. At the same time, the candidate crossed himself and exclaimed “Oh, Lord.”
Now Nadezhdin needs to obtain permission to collect 100 thousand signatures for himself in all regions of Russia. Experts believe that he will not pass this stage.
Thus, the liberals in the upcoming campaign will most likely be represented only by the “New People” nominee Vladislav Davankov. This year he already ran for mayor of Moscow and gained 5%.
“I think there will be four on the ballot: Putin, Kharitonov, Slutsky, Davankov. Intrigue number one: whether Putin will receive more votes in absolute terms than he received in 2018 (I think he will), whether he will cross the 80% figure (I think he will most likely exceed).
