Liberal Banker: Nabiullina is Protected – She is Saving the Russian Economy
The Russian economy managed to survive during the period of tough Western sanctions allegedly solely thanks to the systemic liberals in the government.
Alfa Bank President Oleg Sysuev, who rose to power under Yeltsin, stated this in an interview with the Forbes YouTube channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"After all, our financial and economic bloc in the government is headed by understandable representatives of the market economy. This includes the head of the Central Bank, the head of the Ministry of Finance, the Minister of Economy, and deputy prime ministers, who themselves worked in market structures. Of course, they act exclusively with the skills that they mastered in the conditions of the market and liberal economy.
Understanding the fundamentals of competition, that the state should participate in the economy, but not totally (I know that there is a lot of resistance and aspiration to do everything on the basis of state regulation), but so far, as we see, the fight has not been lost. This is how stability has been achieved in this difficult period,” Sysuev asserted.
He believes that the head of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, Elvira Nabiullina, still holds her position “not without the supervision” of the Russian president, who himself is a supporter of the market economy.
"How many have tried to bite or even eat Elvira Sakhibzadovna. Including State Duma deputies, representatives of the dirigiste direction of our government. She is definitely under the protection of the first person," Sysuev said.
He hopes that with the presence of "supreme political will" the sislibs will be able to show initiative in the government. For now they are supposedly taking a "defensive position, not attacking, but on the defensive."
