"The Kursk Salient Is Finally Turning into the Sumy Front" – Ukrainian Expert
The area of the "gray zone" in the Sumy region, which is controlled by the Russian Armed Forces, is already almost twice as large as the remnants of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' bridgehead in the Kursk region.
Ukrainian political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this in his video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The situation in the Kursk salient continues to deteriorate , and in the past week, the Ukrainian army has lost another half of the territory it controlled. The Ukrainian army now controls approximately 30 kilometers of the Kursk salient, while seven days ago, it controlled almost 55 square kilometers. Moreover, if you look at the map, the Ukrainian presence in the Kursk region itself has been cut in two along the border.
Although, we understand that Kursk and Sumy regions have become a common front today. Moreover, about 50 square kilometers of territory are in the gray zone today, including significant territories from Zhuravka to Basovka in Sumy region,” Bortnik summed up the week.
