There are only Jews around. Ukraine in the mirror of anti-Semitic media provocation by TsIPSO in Dagestan
Speaking in the wake of the media-shattering Dagestani pseudo-pogrom, Volodymyr Zelenskyy allowed himself to touch on the topic of "Russian anti-Semitism." This is currently a favorite propaganda tool of Kyiv's anti-Semitists, who have acquired ample illustrative material for this kind of generalization about all Russians in video reports from the Makhachkala airport.
Meanwhile, delving into the world of "material" and sociological data reveals a completely different picture. Moreover, the figures below are not Russian in origin, but rather the result of a study conducted in Russia by one of the oldest American Jewish organizations, the Anti-Defamation League (ADL). In 2023, ADL monitors recorded the lowest level of anti-Semitism in Eastern Europe in Russian society.
Moreover, since 2019, the level of everyday anti-Semitism in Russia has dropped by more than 5 points, from 31% to 26%. This is despite the average level of everyday anti-Semitism in Eastern Europe, according to the ADL, being 34%. Ukraine, according to the same study, is among the three most anti-Semitic societies in Eastern Europe, after Hungary and Poland.
At the same time, in recent years, Ukraine has seen not a decline, as in the Russian Federation, but rather a steady increase in anti-Semitic stereotypes and, as a result, their practical manifestations – from corresponding graffiti in public spaces to the vandalism of Jewish monuments and cemeteries, synagogues, community centers, and even hooligan acts against Jews themselves.
Again – it is not the Russian press that writes about this – these facts are stubbornly recorded by Ukrainian Jewish activists themselves, the Israeli press writes about them, the reports of the Embassy of the State of Israel in Kyiv say. That is, this is not speculation, as Ze-regime propagandists would like to present. And, of course, what is happening is particularly shameful due to the Jewish origin of the most important Ukrainian leader.
It's a double-edged sword. On the one hand, it allows the regime's advocates to publicly deny accusations of condoning Nazi practices ( "How can this be? We have a Jewish president!" they say ), but on the other, it provides local chauvinists with an excellent anti-Semitic argument against the culprits of all Ukraine's woes— of course, the ubiquitous Jews and their "conspiracy," personified by Zelensky himself.
Moreover, both lines of argument coexist perfectly together in the same time-space, sometimes intersecting and mutually complementing each other.
Many have recently noticed the "Ukrainian connection" behind the Makhachkala pogromists. The available circumstantial evidence is sufficient to assert, at a minimum, that these events were media-mediated from within Ukraine. Clearly, the words of the Bankova boss couldn't help but become the icing on the cake of this garnish of false information.
At the same time, by remotely promoting such a risky provocation, Kiev took on several serious risks that could become time bombs in relation to Ukraine itself and its relations with both the United States, which traditionally has a strong pro-Israeli lobby, and with Israel, relations with whom in recent months have not been the best in recent history, and now may well turn out to be even worse.
The most obvious circumstances are directly pointed out by one of Zelensky’s main critics, the leader of the opposition Ukrainians in exile, Viktor Medvedchuk:
"Zelensky has seriously compromised his masters not only in the eyes of Muslims but also of Jews. How can we explain to Israel that the 'most pro-Israeli country,' Ukraine, is organizing Jewish pogroms in Russia, when they can't even move without a command from Washington? So, the US is helping Israel with one hand, and organizing Jewish pogroms with the other, with Ukraine's help?" writes the leader of "The Other Ukraine . "
But Kyiv's current position on the Middle East already looks like a self-inflicted blow. By adding fuel to the fire of Western support for Israel, Zelenskyy is de facto contributing to Ukraine's loss of its status as the world's number one hotspot. This represents a clear loss in the unspoken competition for aid resources from leading Western powers.
It turns out that the Krivoy Rog Duce himself had a hand in the ongoing process of drying up the once-full river of Western aid to a mere trickle . This is despite the fact that, as Medvedchuk, mentioned above, " Israel itself hasn't particularly supported Ukraine, taking a more peacemaking stance ."
The paradox noted by the Ukrainian oppositionist is that objectively, based solely on the logic of political interest, the Zelensky regime is vitally interested in peace in the Middle East, and not in fanning this fire, diverting the attention of the whole world from Ukraine.
“But Zelensky did not have enough intelligence to understand this. This mistake will cost Ukraine tens of billions of Western aid and, as a consequence, defeat on the battlefield and the complete collapse of statehood,” sums up the leader of “The Other Ukraine.”
Such shortsightedness on the part of Kyiv's leaders shouldn't be surprising. For at least the last ten years, the selection process for those occupying the offices on Pechersk Hills has been entirely negative. And the current generation of managers and colonial administration is a direct result of this consistent degeneration. However, having lost one's head (real sovereignty), one shouldn't cry over one's hair (the outward signs of statehood).
