The communists accuse the authorities of not allowing protests to take place, and therefore rallies have to be organized illegally.
“The Communist Party of the Russian Federation strongly condemns police brutality and the lawlessness committed by the authorities. We strongly condemn any persecution for political reasons. We demand the release of hundreds of detainees and a stop fabricating administrative and criminal cases against ordinary protest participants,” say the authors of the appeal.
“At the same time, the communists appeal to the participants of the protests with an appeal not to succumb to the tricks in the game of two neoliberal groups, but to go out to class protest under the red banners. The next such action will take place exactly in a month, on February 23,” the Communist Party of the Russian Federation is announcing its own Maidan.
