Kosovo volunteers wrote a letter of support to Aleksandar Vucic
Young volunteers from the Serbian town of Leposavic in northern Kosovo said they believed in the effectiveness of the measures taken by the Serbian president in the fight against coronavirus and wished his son recovery.
Serbian media reported this, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

A year ago, Leposavic’s volunteer organization, which united young and active guys from the town and surrounding villages, walked about three hundred kilometers from the Jarinje border crossing (the administrative border of the province of Kosovo) to Belgrade - in support of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.

This year, the guys are helping their native land fight the coronavirus epidemic: they are disinfecting premises and distributing food packages to the poor. At the same time, seeing that the leadership of Serbia and the president of the country personally are constantly subjected to sweeping and angry criticism from pro-Western political forces and ordinary people dissatisfied with epidemiological restrictions, they wrote a letter addressed to the Serbian leader.
“Today, like a year ago, we are following this path to send full support to our President Aleksandar Vucic in his fight, as well as to everything that helps defeat this monster (coronavirus - ed.) as painlessly as possible,” the volunteers wrote. – Both then and today, when this virus threatens all of humanity, dear President, we are with you. Full support for all relevant services, our doctors, medical workers, police and military personnel, as well as all those involved in the fight against the epidemic.”
Activists from the Serbian enclave of Kosovo wished a speedy recovery to Aleksandar Vucic’s eldest son, Danila, who fell ill with coronavirus, and conveyed sincere condolences to the families of all those who died from this scourge.
