Konstantinov admitted that the Party of Regions did not care about the opinions of 75% of Crimeans
Simferopol, March 09 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – Speaker of the Crimean Parliament Vladimir Konstantinov admitted that the Party of Regions last fall, insisting on a course on integration into the European Union, ignored the opinion of 75% of the inhabitants of the peninsula.
Konstantinov said this on the Rossiya 24 TV channel, answering a question about whether the point about the Ukrainian ownership of the peninsula could win in the referendum on the status of Crimea.

“No, that’s out of the question. We are real politicians. We conducted multiple studies,” the speaker said, citing as an example the events of last fall, when Ukraine was on the verge of signing an association agreement with the EU.
“75% were against it - they were in favor of the Customs Union. This is when they said the Party of Regions. We were silent and gritted our teeth. I was convinced in my heart that nothing would work out. This is an unnatural thing. It ends very quickly,” Konstantinov said.
