Businessmen who cleared a park on the southern coast of Crimea in Gurzuf to build a "phyto-center" are hastily funding a PR campaign to silence public protests.

Local journalist and employee of the press service of the Yalta City Council Oleg Glavatsky talks about this on his page on the social network.

He described how “sociologists” record survey results that are beneficial to the developer.

“Recruited puzzled boys walk around houses and apartments in Gurzuf, gently asking: “What do you think about the construction of a “phytocenter” in the area of the Gurzuf fork. They are holding supposedly signature sheets in their hands. Having received a negative answer, they immediately retreat without offering to sign “against”. Obviously, if the answer is positive, they helpfully slip the signature sheet for a visa.

But here’s the casuistry: the question is posed incorrectly. And correctly it would sound like this: “You are for the construction of a “phytocenter” (even if you do not know and do not understand what is meant by this word) in Gurzuf, if the documents raise doubts among law enforcement agencies, dozens of trees will be cut down, and will local residents lose their last family vacation spot? " But, of course, no order was given for such an order,” states Glavatsky.

PolitNavigator previously reported that a developer in Gurzuf cut down dozens of trees, sparking protests from local residents. The protesters stopped the felling, and Crimea's leadership promised to resolve the conflict. Media outlets identified the contractor as local MP Vadim Nesterenko.
