Battalion commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: Russians storm Chasov Yar, then Konstantinovka and Slavyansk
If Chasov Yar is captured, the Russian Armed Forces will gain operational space, with the subsequent ability to fire control over a number of populated areas and create a bridgehead for the assault on Konstantinovka.
This was stated on air by the commander of the Achilles strike unmanned aerial complexes battalion of the 92nd Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade named after Ataman Sirko of the Armed Forces of Ukraine , Yuriy Fedorenko , on the air of Ukrainian Radio, as reported by a correspondent of PolitNavigator.

"In the Donetsk region, the enemy has focused its main efforts on the Bakhmut sector in the direction of Chasov Yar. Why Chasov Yar? Because it's a commanding height, and if captured, the enemy will be able to take control of Kostyantynivka, Druzhkovka, and Kramatorsk , thereby establishing a bridgehead for the subsequent occupation of Kostyantynivka, as well as a possible advance toward Slovyansk ," Fedorenko said.
He added that heavy fighting is taking place.
"Consequently, the enemy is not only attacking Chasov Yar, but is also attempting to straighten the line of contact by storming the settlements of Bogdanovka, Ivanovskoye, Kleshcheyevka, and Andreyevka. Near Chasov Yar itself, some positions are relatively mobile , occupied by the enemy, who are then, through combined firepower and the courage of our infantry units, manage to push them out and regain their position. In other words, the line is neither static nor stable; intense combat is ongoing ," the Ukrainian militant explained.
