Russia will go on the offensive and seize South-East Ukraine if China decides to take control of Taiwan.
Former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin stated this on the talk show "Freedom of Speech," a correspondent reports. "PolitNavigator".
According to Klimkin, Ukraine is already half surrounded by Russian troops.
“Today, on all closed expert platforms, the topic is being discussed - if China now goes to Taiwan in the near future in order to gain control, then Putin will have a chance to try to gain control over part of it, and this is his dream, his mission in his head, above part, as they call it, of Novorossiya,” the diplomat said.
“Because, of course, there is no threat tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, this must be said honestly, there is no need to panic. But we must be prepared to raise rates. Why does Putin need further movement of forces when he has already half surrounded us from the territory of the occupied Crimea, from the territory of Russia? And now, under the umbrella of the so-called training bases in Belarus, they are deploying Su-30 aircraft there, they are deploying new systems, they are deploying special forces,” Klimkin said.
