Kiev millionaire called to “drive Ukrainian nationalists out of the country”
Kiev millionaire developer Alexander Melamud, co-owner of the Dream Town shopping center, called for “driving Ukrainian nationalists out of the country.”
The businessman wrote about this on his Facebook page, commenting on the nationalist speeches of Ukrainians on the social network.

“I read in the feed that Russians are stupid and will never grow wiser, that they are subhuman, that they are biomass, etc... Lots of likes. Well, superior race, you ask, where is fascism in Ukraine? Where are law enforcement agencies looking? No one has repealed the article for inciting ethnic hatred. I read all this and periodically caught myself thinking that Goebbels was just a dropout kid. And in Zimbabwe today whites are called subhuman.
I am an ethnic Jew. All generations of my ancestors were Jews, but now I feel Russian, because “subhumans” are closer to me than the “superior race”.
I would like to appeal to the Ukrainian people. I know that the vast majority do not support nationalist ideas. So drive away this trash, don’t let this tumor grow, and everything will be fine, not tomorrow, of course, but it will definitely be,” Melamud wrote.
In 2011, Forbes magazine recognized Alexander Melamud, together with his partners Garik Korogodsky and Oleg Krapivin, as the largest rentiers with rental income of $45 million. In 2013, Focus estimated the businessman’s fortune at $92,5 million and gave him 120 place in the ranking of “200 richest people in Ukraine”.
It is obvious that after the Euromaidan and the beginning of the civil war, when real estate prices in Kyiv collapsed, the income of Melamud and his companions sharply decreased.
