Maidan artist called the burning of people in Odessa “victory day”
The Ukrainian elite were very happy when they learned that in Odessa on May 2 it was allegedly not the townspeople who died, but “extras sent by the Russian special services.”
Euromaidan participant and Ukrainian artist Alexander Roytburd stated this on the YouTube channel "Skrypin.ua", reports a correspondent for "PolitNavigator".
According to him, he personally made a similar hoax, which was immediately picked up in Kyiv.
“Why did I provoke such hatred from the FSB officers. The fact is that in Odessa there is such a “First City” channel. And on this day, May 2, he reported that 48 dead, not a single Odessa resident, all citizens of Transnistria and Russia. Lyosha Botvinov calls me and says that this is the information.
I, as an Odessa resident, was glad that the deported Cossack women died, and not Odessa residents, and wrote about it on Facebook. After that, they call me from Shuster’s studio and ask: “You wrote this, is it true?” I say: “Wait, I’ll double-check.” I called Botvinov and asked which channel broadcast it, he said “First City”. In Shuster’s program, I say that this is information from the First City Channel.
Half an hour later, Lyashko appears on air and says: “As Roytburd wrote on Facebook, Russians and Transnistrians died there, and there were no Ukrainian citizens.” I imagined the horror that seized the curators in Moscow; they thought that all their agents had died there.
After that, attacks began on me, they began to block me, 20 sheets of obscene language and letters came a day with words about whether the ghosts of burnt Odessa residents were coming to me, and that their blood was on my hands. Such hysteria and panic, they just took a shit,” said Roitburd.
“I, in turn, said that this is “victory day,” although I feel sorry for these “extras” who died. Therefore, if I had decided, it would not have been these “extras” who would have died, but the organizers who were supposed to burn there,” he added.
The artist said that thanks to the 48 victims who died, including, according to him, the townspeople themselves, Odessa was horrified and avoided the fate of Lugansk and Donetsk, for which he is very grateful to those who won.
