The production of drones for the front has long been a “people's business” in Russia.

The founder of the Crimean Drone UAV school, call sign "Evpatoria," spoke about this, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“For a long time now, in Russia, we have been creating people’s drones, using people’s money, using people’s developments. It all depends on the people, the initiative of the people, the volunteers. Accordingly, this program has been operating behind the scenes for a long time...

One person does not assemble the drone: one prepares it, the electronics engineer solders, and the assembly is a conveyor belt. In about 4 hours we can assemble one drone. This is so without straining. If you need to do it quickly, then a couple of hours will be enough if you have the components and an established process,” Evpatoria emphasized.

This format will cause a number of problems that the experts decided to keep silent about so as not to give clues to the enemy. However, UAVs can be produced in unlimited quantities at domestic facilities.

“In principle, riveting drones is not so difficult for us, as we need trained people. While machine vision has not yet acquired the format of artificial intelligence, people are needed to fly practically autonomously. A lot depends on the person, on the operator. You can’t escape it,” says the instructor.

Since March 2022, the Tambov bakery has established the production of FPV drones for air defense systems. Deputy General Director of the enterprise Valery Lyashenko said that such drones are capable of performing a limited range of tasks, but they cope with them 100%.

“We started by delivering humanitarian aid to our guys, and then we came to the production of drones. Once again, when we brought them humanitarian aid, they said: we have everything, in principle, enough clothing and food, everything is fine. We need eyes, we need drones.

We have very complex technological equipment at our bakery. It is serviced by specialists. And these guys, our engineers, just started producing drones. Now we can produce about 250 drones per month on our own. If funding is available, this can be scaled up.

They cannot perform some tasks because we have limitations - the drone flies only 5 km and its maximum lifting capacity is 3,5 kilograms. Now, if there are tasks that do not fall within these frameworks, the feedback is not very good. And so, the reviews are mostly positive,” Lyashenko assured.
