By winter, Kharkov will turn into an unviable city, regardless of whether Russian troops occupy it or not.
Ukrainian political scientist Andrey Ermolaev stated this on the air of the Vyshka internet channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Ermolaev believes that Russia will organize an infrastructural blockade of the million-plus city, which will deprive it of its ability to function.
“It is already obvious that everything is leading to the fact that regardless of the front line, the enemy will do everything to ensure the so-called infrastructure blockade. That is, to make the city unviable. It destroys the energy sector and destroys infrastructure facilities.
What I’m worried about is that if, with the strength of spirit, with the current endurance, we hold out until the cold times, then even without changes on the front line, Kharkov could find itself in an extremely tragic situation,” Ermolaev concluded.
