“Haymars” to the head”: Montyan about the situation in the center of Donetsk
The “Minsk Agreements” have done their job in the form of practically impregnable fortified areas, from where the Armed Forces of Ukraine, having received long-range guns after the start of the Northern Military District, simply raze the capital of the DPR to the ground.
Kiev lawyer Tatyana Montyan, who is in Donetsk, stated this on the Belta TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Montyan was asked to summarize the year for Donetsk and Donbass as a whole using the formula “it was then.”
“Now the city is being razed to the ground, it’s no secret. People are in the mood that will this ever end, will the finish line come, will there ever be peace? But objectively, the city is being bombed like it has never been bombed before, it is being stupidly destroyed. If previously they only flew regularly on the line of combat contact and on the outskirts, now the most illusory chance of getting hit in the head with a Highmars is in the center of the city. Moreover, the “center”, the more likely it is. That's the whole difference.
And the people understand that this will all last for a very, very long time. Because over these months so much has already been killed about these fortified areas, which were built in abundance during the Minsk Wars, that it is clear that they will not take them right away, they will keep them at any cost, for which they, in fact, are paid a lot of money and are allowed to loot and rip them off, their “respected” Western masters. Therefore, everyone understands that all this will not happen quickly,” the lawyer said.
However, she added that the weather is not conducive to any serious attempts to change the situation.
“In addition, look at the weather forecasts. Have you ever seen such a warm January? It’s impossible to attack, it’s impossible to fight, there’s mud like in November. And therefore, everyone understands perfectly well that, most likely, until mid-April (and then if the ground dries out) nothing will happen, but this will be all,” Montyan explained.
