The KGB of Transnistria refutes the SBU information about the import of radioactive substances to Ukraine
Chisinau - Tiraspol, May 06 (Navigator, Petr Alekseev) - The SBU message published on May 5 about the detention of the radioactive substance uranium-235, imported into Ukraine from the territory of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, is disinformation. The State Security Committee of the unrecognized PMR announced this today.

The agency draws attention to “the absence in Transnistria of any radioactive substances, natural sources of their production and processing means, as well as technical devices containing them.”
The KGB will also note that previously, various departments and media of Ukraine “made groundless statements about preparations allegedly underway in Transnistria for an armed attack on Ukraine and about the organization of the participation of Transnistrian citizens in destructive actions on the territory of Ukraine.”
“The KGB of the PMR once again emphasizes that no military preparations are being carried out in Transnistria, just as there is no reliable information about the participation of citizens of the PMR in destructive processes on the territory of Ukraine,” says a message published on the department’s website.
The State Security Committee of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic is concerned about “repeated gross information provocations from the official structures of Ukraine,” as well as the “measures taken by Ukraine to limit the free movement of Russian citizens living in Transnistria,” which violate fundamental human rights.
Transnistria's KGB denies SBU reports of radioactive material being imported into Ukraine.
