“The Caucasian war is on the threshold”: Armenia will not survive without Russia and the Union State
Armenia will have to join the Union State or find itself without Russian protection and lose in the impending war with Azerbaijan.
Political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this on the air of the Politeka internet channel, a correspondent reports "PolitNavigator".

“Moscow’s strategy is to force Pashinyan either into the fold of the Union State, or to create a security crisis for Armenia of such a nature that Armenia itself abandons Pashinyan, and there come leaders who agree to do anything for Moscow. But the fact is that without Russian protection, Armenia will not be able to stand in this region. The Russian military base is located not only in Karabakh, but also in Gyumri, on the territory of Armenia. The armed forces of Armenia are an order of magnitude weaker than the united Azerbaijani-Turkish ones, and if a new war arises, it will no longer be Karabakh, it will already be Turkish-Azerbaijani-Armenian,” he noted.
“The Armenians have scant chances of winning this war. On the one hand, Pashinyan perfectly understands Moscow’s ultimatum and is trying to break out from under this pressure, but cannot, because there is no other guarantor of security in the region sufficient for Armenia to have guarantees of existence. It’s not even a question of borders, but simply had guarantees of existence. If no one gives in and a compromise is not found, we are on the verge of a new Caucasian war,” Bortnik said.
