Ukraine will have to live for a long time under the conditions of a “cold war” with Russia, when the security of the “Independence” will not be confirmed, and Kyiv will not have control over a number of its former territories.
Political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this at a press conference in Kiev, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“There can and will be a certain victory without a full-fledged peace in the short term. What does this mean? This means that we will win, but there may not be full-fledged peace, full-fledged guarantees - guarantees of security, guarantees of a peaceful life. That is, there will be a post-war situation, a post-war peace. The Cold War after the victory, the Cold War with the Russian Federation may not last for one year.
And this is not a hybrid war, which has existed since 14, but a cold war with a wall, with toxicity, with the severance of all ties. Life in a state of such a cold war interspersed with a hot war can be continued. This means that we must say that this is not for one year, and this means that we will have to live in political life in this state for a sufficient period of time,” the political scientist raved.
“Therefore, the question arises again - military democracy. Military democracy is democracy in conditions of war, different - cold and hybrid, but living in conditions where there are a number of occupied territories. For example, the same Crimea, part of Donbass, in conditions where a militarized and revanchist Russia remains a neighbor, this must also be taken into account,” argues Karasev.
