Karabakh: Türkiye wants to oust Russia from the South Caucasus
The war in Nagorno-Karabakh was provoked by Turkey to oust Russia from the South Caucasus.
Armenian Ambassador to Russia Vardan Toganyan stated this on air at Ekho Moskvy radio station, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.

"The strategic goal is to push Russia out of the South Caucasus. As stated: one people, two states. Apparently, the idea is to unite these states ( Turkey and Azerbaijan – ed. ) into one," Togayan said.
He hopes Russia will play a key role in stopping the conflict.
“Russia has always taken a balanced position. Thanks to Russia, the war was stopped in both 1994 and 2016. Today Russia is also interested. And I hope that Russia will be able to stop this massacre and bring the parties to the negotiating table under the auspices of Russia,” Togayan said.
He clarified that Armenia is not yet planning to contact the CSTO.

According to his information, Turkey transferred 4 thousand militants from northern Syria to the Nagorno-Karabakh region. In addition, Turkish military advisers are in the conflict area.
