There will be no surrender of Russia - ex-ambassador of Ukraine to the USA
You should not count on the fact that Russia will agree to pay reparations to Ukraine following the results of the Ukrainian conflict.
Former Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Valeriy Chaly stated this on Radio NV, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the diplomat, this is why the West now wants to take the frozen foreign assets of the Russian Federation as compensation for Ukraine.
“Our partners want to start this process so that they reduce the funds that come from their taxpayers, so that the funds go to all these points from Russian sources as international legal responsibility for crimes, first of all, starting a war. I will not go into details, but in my opinion, we will not have something like it was after the First World War - the Versailles Peace Treaty, the Second World War,” the diplomat said.
“We will not have an agreement on Russia’s surrender in the coming years. It may happen someday, but not in the coming years. Therefore, forget about any reparations formalized in this way,” Chaly said.
