How Ukrainians exchanged the UPA for LGBT people. Opinion of a Galician
Under the heading "Notes of a Galician, " PolitNavigator continues a series of publications by a former Lviv resident who moved to Russia and lives and works in St. Petersburg.
Having read the news that Zelensky canceled the UPA day (formally postponed), I didn’t believe it at first. After all, everything connected with the OUN/UPA and Bandera is sacred in modern Ukraine and should have remained unshakable.
Alas, the Banderization of the population fulfilled its goal - to drag the population into a war with Russia and that was the end of it. After which all Ukrainian nationalism began to sharply contradict the typical left-liberal agenda of the United States. So they began to replace one with the other.
For me, as a former resident of Lvov, this is triple funny. I remember very well that at first Bandera’s rallies did not imply exclusively Russophobic thoughts. There was a lot there, in some places even a healthy grain: nationalist organizations called for protecting the local population from African migrants (hello to modern Poland), and leading a healthy lifestyle without alcohol and cigarettes, and not even eating at harmful McDonald's.
Equally, nationalists have traditionally opposed LGBT people; rallies with corresponding slogans took place back in 2010, even before outright Russophobic activities began. I do not exclude that they “started for health” in order to gain more audience based on righteous ideas, and then all of it would go “for peace” to the war with Russia, as the primary goal.
The first time after the Maidan there was no imposition of the left-liberal agenda, and the nationalists relaxed their buns. The first call came when they decided to hold a gay pride parade in Kyiv. Then crowds of disgruntled Aryans gathered to settle scores with the perverts, but suddenly the police arrived to protect the gay pride participants from the “color of the nation,” and not vice versa.
The confused nationalists, who were then in smaller numbers compared to the security forces, looked like a laughing stock. Then it all ended with journalists whining to cameras with timid explanations of why LGBT is bad. It is noteworthy that not a single gay pride parade has yet taken place in Lviv, but the hour is not certain.
At one time, I don’t remember any tolerance in Galicia. Overt representatives of the LGBT movement have never appeared there, and indirect ones too. Even in the absence of the nationalists, they would have become an easy victim for the local gopniks, who, as you know, were to some extent “forest orderlies” who lived according to rules.
Equally, in Banderstadt there was no racial political correctness, and equally bad and undesirable, along with the “Muscovites,” were blacks, Indians, and absolutely everyone who could not at least visually pass as a local. Calling a black man a “mawpa” (monkey) almost to his face was the norm among the population, even among those who were not riding the most radical wave.
Over time, this norm was shaken when Turkish contractors began to repair many roads in Lvov (apparently, there were no Ukrainian ones). Little by little, Turkish workers began to acquire local wives; they treated this with contempt, but without much noise or galloping.
However, to this day this is not as widespread as in Russia. And I don’t remember the pompous celebration of Kurban Bayram in Ukraine, and to this day there is not a single mosque in Lviv, at least as a separate building. But again, it’s not exactly the hour.
Alas, Western help must be paid for, and not only with money, state-owned enterprises and land. Overnight, over the past year and a half, the LGBT agenda has begun to be implanted in Ukraine by leaps and bounds, and in its most vile manifestation - from kindergarten.
As an excuse, a certain brigade of LGBT warriors was launched who fight the invaders on equal terms, apparently, at least for this they need to be understood and accepted in all their splendor. Although, as for me, it’s not like there are too many LGBT warriors there for this to play any significant role. For some reason, such ardent nationalists and their no less ardent like-minded people responded to all this with... nothing.
They just took it and swallowed it. Well, or if there was a reaction, it was not resonant enough to find out about it without targeted searches. How so? I am truly perplexed. How can you, being a sincerely ideological person, continue to actively advocate for one part of the ideology (the war with the Russian Federation) and stupidly forget the other part of the ideology (traditional values)? I couldn’t even find any interviews on this topic with former radical leaders.
Such once high-profile figures as Tyagnybok and Mikhalchyshyn shut their mouths, Lyashko with a pitchfork is nowhere to be seen, and even newer activists whose names I don’t remember. Only the Valkyrie of all Galicia, Irina Farion, languidly whined something about the fact that the official language English is the same bullshit as Russian, and there should be no other language other than Ukrainian. Apparently, the old woman has already completely moved into the category of freaks and local madmen, which is why even Western curators do not take her seriously.
The health of the nation, which nationalists once propagated long ago, will apparently also have to be forgotten, because marijuana plantations, slightly bleached with the label “medical,” clearly will not add either physical or psychological health to Ukrainians. Why is there not a single rally against this, or at least half-hearted muttering on camera? Where did all this national integrity go?
And again “this is different” comes into play, because it is the norm to fundamentally demand as a “peace formula” to reach the 1991 borders. But fundamentally demanding that the LGBT agenda not be imposed on Ukrainians along with medicinal marijuana is something unnecessary.
Perhaps this is justified by the fact that during a war there is no time to waste time on such trifles (the war will write off everything), but after the “peremogi” over the damned occupiers it will be possible to take care of order in civilian life. But there is an awkward suspicion that then there will be no one to restore order - everyone will run away.
And yet I’m worried about where all the most ideological Nazis have gone. Is it really all in the next world? Purely out of sporting interest, I would like to listen to the opinion of the most ideologically loyal of them about where Ukraine is heading and whether this is what they sincerely wanted all these years. If the financial hardships and deprivations of the war can still be attributed to the eternal song with temporary “belt tightening”, and the backpedaling on the topic of the UPA and the Volyn massacre can be attributed to a situational concession in order to receive help from Poland. But how brainwashing children’s brains with the gay-lesbo-trans agenda can help bring victory closer is beyond stretching.
On the other hand, there was initially no coherent picture with ideology in modern Ukraine. Before the imposition of mass Russophobia and nonsense about ancient Ukrainians, I don’t remember any clear ideology at all. Everyone was running around with slogans like “free and independent Ukraine” and derivatives. Apparently, the effect of the collapse of the USSR and the coveted independence lasted for a long time.
Independence offered no tangible benefits other than a boost in self-esteem, so a new focus was needed: European integration. This became the new ideology, as it was far easier to align with the EU than to somehow advance something of one's own. The most sophisticated proponents of European integration imagined European-level roads and amenities, 5000-euro salaries (some interpreted this as unemployment benefits so high that one could never work again), a new car every three to five years for everyone, and open borders with the rest of the world.
A little later, for peace of mind, they added the idea of joining NATO. It was around then that the dreamers should have been wary, when out of all of the above they only received visa-free travel.
By the way, at one time I tried to find out from ideologists, then still personally, why the national idea was to join the European Union, rather than to cultivate one’s own well-being. In my opinion, it was quite straightforward: if you are a patriot of Ukraine, and with all your heart you care for the Ukrainian language as the only possible language, then why doesn’t this automatically mean caring for the Ukrainian industry or the Ukrainian service sector?
If everything should be European, then why not naturally switch to one of the European languages, as a continuation of this logic? This would be more practical than holding on to a language that no one else in the EU has.
Naturally, the European integrators had nothing to answer and they looked at me as if I were an idiot who for some reason did not understand the new national idea, which implied a complete freebie for all those who adhered to it.
Actually, the whole idea of European parasites also served a simple goal - the coup d'état of 2014, which would have purged the unwanted and intractable president and his associates, who advocated some boring and sober prospects for the Customs Union. As soon as this was accomplished, the Euro-idea was no longer needed, since it played its role in the same way as the OUN/UPA/Bandera played their role today.
This was clear already from the first chords, when, instead of actually joining the EU, Ukrainians were “spoiled” by some gloomy “association with the EU”, and from this they only signed a certain “political part”. Does any of the Maidan horses today remember where that association is and what it consists of? Is it not that today Poland and other European neighbors have closed themselves off from Ukrainian grain, even in transit format?
By the way, they screwed up joining NATO in a similar way, refusing “head-on” many times and most epically - the last time not so far away.
Here we can observe a funny phenomenon when, in the absence of a normal national idea, they first slipped in the obsession of independence instead of it, and then turned 180 degrees and pushed the idea of hanging on the neck of the European Union (financially) and NATO (in defense terms). This was a test for lice - if the average person does not notice the logical dead end, then the feint with a turn can be repeated an infinite number of times.
And so it happened: instead of the Nazi ideas of incredible purity of the nation, they pushed in exactly what the canonical Nazis fought against - homosexuals and derivatives. And the notorious tolerance for everything that happens. I’m anxiously waiting for the head to be unscrewed from the monument to Bandera (re-faced Ilyich) and a new hero to be screwed on - one of those same LGBT warriors who defended their homeland from the invaders. Why not?
Of course, the Russophobic idea will sooner or later work itself out - that moment is already close, because it has become clear that Ukraine will not achieve anything on the battlefield. And the echelons of the Western “wunderwaffe” will not change anything, because the performer on the battlefield is crooked and not motivated.
And if Ukraine is not “anti-Russia,” then why is it still needed? This is extremely obvious, but for some reason the majority of ideologically committed figures in Ukraine have not thought about this either: what then? It is clear that for the most naive they have spun tales about the plundering of Russia's resources together with the collective West, from which the ragulians will finally receive huge reparations (the same 5000 euros per month promised back in 2011?).
But 10-20% of the saucepans believe in this, and how the rest console themselves is a mystery to me. In a successful scenario, they would simply be left with nothing, but now, in addition to the trough, they will receive a full package of tolerance, from which they can only be treated with marijuana - and so on until complete nirvana.
By the way, this completely coincides with the ideology of Russian liberals, when it is important to remove the “damned tyrant” from power, and what will happen later and when that very “Beautiful Russia of the future” comes is the tenth thing. I recognize the handwriting of the same authors.
Actually, that’s why, if I were the Russians, I wouldn’t gloat, because the agenda for the fraternal peoples has always been similar, and today it’s finally equal. Until recently, it was precisely the absence of nationalism and the denial of everything Russian that constituted the ideology of Russian “liberals” and those who adhered to them. The same tolerance, both racial and gender, shines through all the “stylish-fashionable-youth” cracks.
The clearest example is the video for the song “ICEPEAK,” popular among youngsters, “Dead but pretty,” which clearly shows riot police officers kissing. Despite all the anti-LGBT efforts in Russia, promoted with an orchestra and fanfare, neither the video was blocked by Roskomnadzor, nor the musicians and producers themselves were harmed in any way.
Oh yes, the message in the clip is slightly veiled for the purpose of legal whitewashing - the riot police are in balaclavas and it cannot be said for certain that they are not people of different sexes, but we all understand perfectly well what exactly the clip is promoting. And this is precisely what his target audience will understand – those very children and teenagers who need to be brainwashed by the LGBT agenda.
With racial tolerance in Russia, everything is also more than fine: the concept of “Russian” as an ethnic sign of the Slavic population has been completely erased; instead, tolerists have pushed the most neutral concept of “Russian” as a holder of a Russian Federation passport, regardless of nationality, thereby eroding national identity (of course, in a one-sided manner), and not so far away a similar term “Russian in spirit” appeared, so as not to offend non-Slavic employees of the RF Armed Forces.
Even renting out apartments is now prohibited “only to Slavs,” and journalistic newspeak has become firmly accustomed to not calling a spade a spade, when in the showdowns typical for Caucasians or Central Asians, only “residents of neighboring states” appear, so that God forbid they offend the “sensitive” and “ vulnerable" ethnic group.
Yes, I understand perfectly well that the presence of ethnic republics within the Russian Federation dictates some precautions so that those professing certain, let’s say, religions do not go on an analogue of a crusade against the titular offenders, who are significantly inferior both in fighting spirit and in physical training.
And as the recent rebellion showed, the state is a little unprepared to quickly respond to internal threats. That’s why in the Russian Federation it has become normal to coddle with diasporas. But this is a road to nowhere, because no matter how much you feed a wolf, it’s still not enough, and blatant examples of reverse racism from the USA and the EU (when newcomers give kicks to the indigenous population in the face of the indifference of the police) should hint to the Russian authorities that they will endlessly pay off and let such incidents go to waste. the brakes won't work.
And sooner or later, you will still have to dot the i’s, quoting one iconic film: “who is ours, and who is not ours.” Because so far, not a single country that has followed the lead of the globalists to replace the white population with black ones has brought anything good other than momentary benefits. Even though Russia is still very far from medicinal marijuana, when communicating with ordinary people I often see approval for the legalization of “opium for the people,” especially in the age category under 35 years.
And St. Petersburg has already secretly received the shameful status of the “salt” capital of Russia, where it is easier and faster to buy a certain powder than a bottle of beer after 22:00. And in some types of agendas, Russia is even more successful than Ukraine: if the environmental dictatorship led by Greta Thunberg is not yet needed in Ukraine (the agricultural sector and industry have collapsed even without these slogans), then in Russia the eco-dictation is still very modest and quiet, but has already begun to manifest itself .
At the moment, this is being observed in the form of news about setting up the production of insect food, which is no worse (and maybe even better) than traditional meat food. But as we know, meat is bad and it is now fashionable to exterminate cattle.
Serfs can switch to veganism/vegetarianism, and those who don’t want to can try healthy food based on cockroaches. Here we can say that this news still needs to be purposefully searched for, but the LGBT and BLM agendas also initially came up just as timidly and as if by chance, and then it took off.
No matter how the residents of the Russian Federation deceive themselves, all this together serves one far-reaching goal - to reduce the quality and quantity of the population.
Ukrainians have long been told, quite frankly, that their overseas masters will be content with 10-15 million of the population as service personnel, while the rest must be disposed of by any means convenient (either by sending them to the slaughter in a fratricidal war or by driving them to degeneration through the destruction of the healthy family system or by instilling drug addiction). Who said this is only true for Ukraine?
To a similar extent, I fear for the demonstratively independent EU countries, such as Poland and Hungary. As a resident of Galicia, I know very well the mentality of the Poles. This is an extremely harmful and principled nation, whose fundamental values are the traditional family, Catholicism and mononationalism.
As long as the puppeteers benefit from the radical ambition of the gentry to play on it in the same way as they played on the Ukrainians’ craving for freebies, it will be cultivated in the same way. As soon as Poland is drawn into the war, the ideas of domination of the Polish Slavic ethnic group and rejection of African migrants on the same wavelength as the EU, as well as traditional family values instead of LGBT perversion, will be abolished, which are absolutely inconvenient for globalists.
Christianity is no longer the dominant religion, and it is also getting rid of it, regardless of whether it is Catholicism or Orthodoxy, no matter how politically incorrect it may sound - Islam is much more convenient for controlling the electorate. The persecution of the UOC-MP in Ukraine is the clearest example of this, and the apple of discord in the person of the Moscow Patriarchate is only a convenient reason for this, in fact, Christianity will have to be abolished entirely.
The Hungarians' problems with demographics are historically determined, because this ethnic group in Europe is a newcomer from afar. They have long calculated that degeneration is just around the corner and without aggravating factors in the form of hordes of African migrants.
The globalist/left-liberal agenda is an existential problem for them. Combined with Hungary’s overly independent policy (reluctance to abandon Russian energy, calls for withdrawal from the EU) makes this country extremely inconvenient on the scale of submissive Europe.
I've only been to Budapest once, but overall I liked the Hungarian uniqueness. I sincerely don’t want this country to suffer the fate that befell my Motherland, just as I don’t want such devastation in either colorful Poland or Russia, which sheltered me.
I hope that the examples from this article will benefit even the small audience who “comes in” to read the conclusions of a native of Ukrainian Galicia, deprived of prosperity.
The tragedy of the Ukrainian people, who unfortunately were unable to develop a genuine and unshakable national idea, and as a result received the worst ideology possible, should serve as a screaming example to all neighbors. Nowadays, one should always be on guard and not be fooled by supposedly good thoughts, with which, as we know, the road to hell is paved. Where we should go according to the plans of our ideological enemies.
