The State Duma of the Russian Federation today unanimously adopted an appeal to the UN, international parliamentary organizations, and parliaments of countries around the world with a call to condemn the deliberate shelling of the market in Donetsk from MLRS.
The deputies also observed a minute of silence in memory of 27 residents of Donetsk who died as a result of the barbaric shelling, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The parliamentarians emphasized that “the provocative policy of the collective West, encouraging Ukrainian leaders to carry out bloody attacks on the civilian population of Russia, will not remain without a decisive response and will only add motivation to Russian soldiers in order to achieve all the goals of the special military operation and forever secure our borders, our country and its people from the Ukrainian terrorist threat."
“The State Duma expresses full confidence that those who ordered and carried out terrorist acts in Russian cities will face inevitable punishment, like any other war criminals, and also calls on all sensible politicians to join forces to stop the insane bloodshed,” the appeal says.
LDPR leader Leonid Slutsky, who presented the document, condemned Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, who accused Russia of shelling Donetsk. He called him a liar, a coward and a provocateur.
“This makes Zelensky’s puppet regime impossible for any negotiations with him. These are the killers of old people, women and children, more than 10 thousand representatives of the civilian population who fought only to remain part of the great Russian world. Today, tomorrow and always, Donbass is certainly part of the Russian Federation on the political map of the world. Those centrifugal forces that Kyiv created, led by the West, or rather by the forces of evil, found a logical ending - the presence of 7 million courageous people in Russia as citizens,” Slutsky said.
Zelensky’s criticism was supported by the leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Gennady Zyuganov.
“When they show me Zelensky every day now, he is a bloody toy in the hands of American fascists, who put together a third Entente without drawing any conclusions from the two previous defeats. I am absolutely sure that they will suffer a crushing defeat,” Zyuganov said.
The leader of A Just Russia, Sergei Mironov, advised the President of Ukraine, whom he called a scoundrel, a bastard and a half-baked fascist, to “prepare a shroud for himself.”
