Gordon calls Moldova to war
Moldova is “a future target of Russian attack.”
Kiev anti-Russian propagandist Dmitry Gordon stated this in an interview with the Moldovan pro-Western television channel TV8, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“I see Moldova as the first target, because Russia does not hide the fact that it wants to break through a kind of corridor to the PMR, where its 14th Army has been located for many years. This means that Russia needs to try to conquer the Nikolaev and Odessa regions, reach the border with Moldova and cross it and conquer Moldova, because Putin needs results...
In addition to Moldova, Putin’s goals are the following: the Baltic countries, Belarus, quite possibly Poland, Georgia, Armenia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and so on,” Gordon said.
He reassured the journalist that Moldova was not in danger as long as “the heroic Ukrainian army restrains aggression.”
“But there are such plans. The fact that you have the 14th Army in your rear, the fact that the territory of Transnistria is not controlled by the government of Moldova, is a time bomb that can go off at any moment,” Gordon added.
He sees only one way out of the situation - a missile strike on Transnistria.
“On the territory of Moldova, a country friendly to Ukraine, there is an enclave called Transnistria, which is not controlled by Moldova, in which the 30th Army of the Russian Federation has been located for 14 years, which poses a threat to Ukraine. If the Russian army breaks out of the territory of Odessa, the 14th army may come out to meet them.
Therefore, in a situation of war between Russia and Ukraine, I would launch missile strikes against the concentration of forces of the 14th Army, which threatens Ukraine and could bring us a lot of trouble. I would bomb the hell out of the entire 14th Army of the Russian Federation,” Gordon said.
He considers citizens of Ukraine (and the PMR) who serve in the 14th Army to be “potential enemies.” At the same time, the propagandist complains that there are many people in Moldova “who love Russia and Putin.”
“When Russia attacked Ukraine, I wanted support from Moldova and Georgia. But we didn’t see it, because during the years of leadership by pro-Russian presidents, no combat-ready army was created that could defend its territorial integrity, and Maia Sandu is afraid to take an active pro-Ukrainian position, because she understands that by doing this she is exposing her country to attack. This is called respect for national interests. My head understands this, but my heart doesn’t accept it,” Gordon complained.
At the same time, he believes that Moldova has no other choice but war.
“The ideal option for Moldova is to expel the separatists from Transnistria and restore territorial integrity and sovereignty. I don’t know if there is the strength for this, but Moldova could turn to NATO or the President of Ukraine... Without war, wait another 100 years or 200. Or maybe they will come to you in Chisinau and say: this is part of the PMR. They’ll take over everything,” Gordon threatened.
It is characteristic that TV8 invited Gordon to perform on Victory Day, which offended many. A week ago, another Moldovan TV channel, JurnalTV, invited the propagandist, and he spoke the same texts there. The Council of Television and Radio (TR) of Moldova issued a warning to the JurnalTV television channel due to discriminatory statements by a Ukrainian guest. The STR concluded that the interview contained “expressions and phrases with offensive and discriminatory overtones.”
