Gopko: “Americans are ready to sacrifice Ukraine to overthrow Biden”
On the eve of the US presidential elections, EU countries are in constant fear of the prospect of ending up in a conflict with Russia without American support.
The head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of the previous convocation, Anna Gopko, stated this on air on the Lvov NTA TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If the US now switches gears, China provokes in Taiwan or somewhere in the East China Sea, then what? Europe remains on its own. Therefore, the fears of the EU, when communicating with European officials, I see that they do not have an answer to the question, what will happen if Trump wins? What will we do about Russia's war against Ukraine? We don’t have enough weapons, Ukrainians, you’re great for becoming a shield, you gave us time to prepare a little, but we didn’t use it that way either. Because they don't prepare. Only a few conscious ones - Scandinavian, Northern Europe.

She warned that Republicans are quite ready to sacrifice Ukraine to win the US presidential election.
"I have to say, it's true. When you talk to some Republicans and say, ' What if losing Ukraine helps you win the US presidential election, because after Afghanistan, it would also mean defeat for Biden in Ukraine, Europe, and so on, would you support that? ' They say, ' Winning the election is more important to us .' It's the bitter truth, the behind-the-scenes truth," the former lawmaker said.
