The practice of recruiting women into the Ukrainian Air Defense Forces demonstrates that the same can be done with the National Police , with men subsequently sent directly to the front. And this is just one example of the available methods for replenishing the Ukrainian Armed Forces within the existing age limits for mobilization.
This was stated on the "Factory of News" channel by the former deputy commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, former deputy secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine, Serhiy Krivonos , as reported by a correspondent for "PolitNavigator".
" Have we utilized our full potential ? Millions of Ukrainian citizens over 25 have not yet been drafted into the armed forces. These citizens are evading service, using certain structures for cover, and, most importantly, they are not prepared to fulfill their constitutional obligations."
So, it's no longer a question of age, although I would lower the age limit. Those who wanted to fight before 25 go and fight without waiting. But the state still needs to clearly define the rules of the game.
"A huge number of people have bought their way out. Plus, a huge number of government officials are avoiding making decisions regarding bureaucratic cuts, which means hundreds of thousands of citizens who could also fight ," Krivonos pointed out.
" We're also demonstrating through real-life examples that women can actively serve in the air defense forces. What's stopping this experiment from being repeated with the National Police? And in the police, women, for the most part, can actively maintain decent order within the country. Therefore, there are more than enough resources , and instead of playing with these political nuances—let's lower the age, let's not lower the age— let's first utilize the full potential that the law allows us," the cannibalistic general urged.
