SBU General: Ukraine is hopelessly behind Russia in the military sphere
Kyiv, January 25 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – Ukraine is unable to defeat the Russian Federation, from which it is hopelessly behind in the military sphere.
This opinion was expressed in a commentary to the Kyiv weekly Focus by the former deputy head of the SBU, head of the board of the Association of Intelligence Veterans, Alexander Skipalsky.

He argues that Ukraine is in a better position militarily today than it was a year ago.
“But we cannot win the fight with Russia,” Skipalsky says. – Our material base has been mothballed for waging a fourth-generation war, and Russia is working every day, every month to fight a sixth-generation war. For example, in December 2014, the United States adopted additions to the military doctrine, taking into account the Russian experience in seizing Crimea. And our Ministry of Defense says that we will make organizational changes by 2017. That is, not even doctrinal, not strategic, not defense! Is it possible to say at this level that we are able to resist the aggressor?”
If a full-scale Russian invasion begins, the retired general laments, then Russian tanks could easily march through the streets of Ukrainian cities.
“Russia is deploying military space forces and missile systems around Ukraine, including in Crimea,” warns the former deputy head of the SBU. “They are preparing to fight a war like the Americans did in Iraq.” This is how countries with sixth-generation military potential wage wars - they destroy communications, communication lines, after which tanks can easily pass through the streets.”
