Where are their brains? Idiots! – Pogrebinsky about the trip of the Zee delegation to Germany
Well-known political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky sharply criticized the results of the trip of the Ukrainian government delegation to Germany, where the future of negotiations on Donbass was discussed, and representatives of Kyiv again categorically rejected the possibility of negotiations with the LDPR.
"I'm noting the rather clear position of Heiko Maas ( German Foreign Minister – ed. ), who clearly stated the need to seek compromise solutions, and the Ukrainian Foreign Minister's latest lie that they are 'ready for broad compromises,' but are not ready for any compromises at all – neither broad nor narrow, nor any kind! Because there are certain 'red lines' that prevent any compromises.
The implementation of the Minsk agreements cannot be realized because Ukraine believes that “first we need to get the border, withdraw illegal armed groups and only then hold elections” - but this contradicts the sequence indicated in “Minsk”! Therefore, this is apparently a “red line” and this means “wide possibilities for finding a compromise”!” – Pogrebinsky is perplexed.
"I read that before his trip, our Deputy Prime Minister (Alexei Reznikov – ed. ) allegedly said he would raise the issue with Germany regarding the EU's embargo on energy supplies from Russia. So, I want to ask, should people who will hold the position of Deputy Prime Minister have any brains, or not? Or should they make fools of themselves in Europe?! Does he understand what he's saying?" the expert added.
According to Pogrebinsky, this trip was absolutely without any benefit, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Ukrainian position is completely determined by the position of the American ambassadors - there will be no movement, no meeting in the Normandy format, until then these people define their interests and “red lines.” Well, we went to the wonderful city of Berlin,” noted Mikhail Pogrebinsky.
