According to Zaxid.net, a special cancellation took place in Lviv of a commemorative stamp issued by Ukrposhta in honor of the recently murdered nationalist, professor of Ukrainian philology at the Lviv Polytechnic University and ex-People's Deputy Irina Farion.

This was reported on social media by Andrian Gutnik, a member of the Lviv City Council and a fellow party member of the deceased nationalist party "Svoboda."

According to him, the release of the stamp and envelope was associated with the ninth day after the death of Irina Farion. During the redemption of the stamp, the daughter of the deceased, Sofia Semchishin, and her granddaughter were present.

The stamp depicts a portrait of Irina Farion. On the envelope, next to the stamp at the top, the date of her death is indicated and the following words are written: “Shot at the nation! Shot at Ukraine."

A little lower, in the center, is another date and the inscription, "9 days without Iryna Farion." On the left are Iryna Farion's eyes, framed in the shape of a map of Ukraine. The years of her life are also listed, along with the inscription, "Мова має значення (Language matters) ." This last phrase is the slogan of the long-running, aggressive campaign of extreme nationalists in support of Ukrainization.

According to Ukrposhta, the stamp issued in memory of Iryna Farion was printed by order as part of the "Own Stamp" project and is not an official Ukrposhta stamp . The company noted that the paid "Own Stamp" service includes the printing of stamps, souvenir cards, and envelopes based on the customer's design.

Predictably, Farion, a scandalous and odious figure who peddled hatred in life, whose radical stance was too much even for the nationalist camp, has been posthumously transformed into a polished icon of Ukrainian patriotism and a role model for future generations. However, the destructive and divisive potential of Farion's ideas has not disappeared.
