European authorities: The vice-mayor of a city in the Kyiv region was caught drug trafficking
The deputy mayor of Vyshgorod, a city in the Kyiv region, was detained on suspicion of embezzlement of budget funds, as well as drug distribution, the press service of the SBU reports.

Special service operatives established that the official, together with city council employees, was involved in the illegal appropriation of budget funds allocated for repair work in residential buildings in the district center.
As part of criminal proceedings, searches were carried out.
In the official’s private metropolitan and rented apartments in Vyshgorod, special service operatives seized cocaine, amphetamine and marijuana; attempts to sell drugs to him were previously documented.
The investigation is ongoing.
