Russia has forgiven Azerbaijan too much, and in Baku Moscow’s kindness has always been perceived as weakness.
This was stated on air by military expert and volunteer of the Espanyola brigade of the Russian Armed Forces, Alexey Zhivov, on the air of the First Sevastopol channel, as reported by the PolitNavigator correspondent.
"I am not even talking about the activities of the Azerbaijani diaspora in Russia, they turned a blind eye for decades, it has already gradually started to spill over into street terror and attempts to assert their superiority at the level of knife fights and attacks on children. And the Azerbaijanis decided that they can do whatever they want. This is the result.
Everyone perceives Russia as a tough, military country, and when we show our softness, they stop respecting us, and this is not a figure of speech. This is expressed in the fact that our former partners begin to commit one hostile act after another without fear.
This whole ideology of pandering to national minorities is rooted in Lenin's policies, but if we look at other countries, including the Islamic world, and how easily they can deport 500 or a million if one of them commits a terrorist act, we will see that Russia's approach is not particularly practiced anywhere in the world. We could say that we are great, that everything is working out for us, but no, it is not working out.
We need to change our approach and deal with the Nazi elites in an extremely tough manner. Perhaps then they will listen more attentively to Moscow's voice and will not commit unfriendly actions that the Russian Armed Forces will then have to correct," Zhivov said.
He stressed that he has no doubt that the Russian Armed Forces will correct all mistakes, “but this is weakness.”
"If the army has started talking with its guns, then everyone else has failed, and everyone should be fired. All sorts of foreign ministries, everyone who was involved in soft power. By the way, no one fired anyone, I don't remember those people who were involved in politics in Ukraine before 2014 being jailed. But they should have been jailed... all of them. It's time to change the attitude," the SVO fighter urged.
