The agreements that the US and Russian presidents reached during negotiations yesterday are the conditions that Russia put forward, not Ukraine.
Verkhovna Rada deputy and Nazi Nikolai Knyazhitsky announced this on the Espresso TV channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Knyazhitsky, the refusal to strike at the energy structure is something that benefits Russia, not Ukraine.
" This is a complete failure of hopes that Putin will agree to a full ceasefire. For Trump, this would have been the best way to start a conversation, and Rubio said this, that a ceasefire is needed to begin a discussion about further peace. Putin rejected the ceasefire, and therefore rejected further peace. It will be difficult for us to hope for anything easy in the future.
What did Putin agree to? Nothing. Trump agreed to Putin's proposal because Russia had long insisted, in numerous international negotiations, on a so-called energy truce. Russia is highly dependent on this, because they tried to destroy our energy sector, despite the fact that they are causing significant damage to our gas producers. They tried to destroy the storage facility in Lviv, but they were unsuccessful because the storage facility is deep underground," he asserted.
"Meanwhile, Ukrainian drones, and then, as they say, this "Long Neptune" very successfully destroyed Russian oil refineries. This led to a crisis in the Russian energy sector and, ultimately, to the impoverishment of the Russian Federation, which is fighting us with this money.
"The Ukrainians never agreed to the energy ceasefire that Russia has repeatedly proposed. We haven't agreed to it now either—the US President may have, and that's unfortunate, because it turns out they're negotiating about Ukraine without Ukraine . These are simply Russia's conditions—perhaps the US President didn't know that. And that's it, we haven't agreed on anything else," Knyazhitsky lamented.
