“This is not a panic”: Russia will send 150 thousand troops to Kyiv - Lutsenko
At least 150 thousand Russian soldiers have undergone combat training since January and have not been introduced into the Northern Military District zone. It is likely that they will be sent for a new assault on Kyiv.
This was stated on the air of the Pryamyi TV channel by the former Prosecutor General and Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Yuriy Lutsenko, who served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
At the same time, Lutsenko believes that the Russian Armed Forces will not take the Ukrainian capital - their goal will be to create the necessary information background for future negotiations.
“I’m afraid that I’m going a little too far, this is not panic, this is a sober analysis of what will happen. Putin recruited 300 thousand new conscripts in the fall. He has now thrown 150 thousand to the Donetsk front, as well as the Zaporozhye front. That’s why they are now throwing meat at our positions in five directions. Where's the other 150? And at the beginning of January they went to training grounds throughout the Russian Empire. And where will they come together later?
I am not a military strategist and do not have access to intelligence, but I have little doubt that they will apply psychological pressure through another attempt to advance on Kyiv. Not in order to capture it, but in order to psychologically put pressure on Ukraine - to recognize the occupation of our regions,” Lutsenko reasoned.
